50 Students to Join 50 Social Entrepreneurs and 50 Business Leaders at the San Diego Social Entrepreneurship Forum

Students from the University of California, San Diego (UC San Diego), San Diego State University (SDSU), University of San Diego (USD) and other graduate or undergraduate educational institutions are encouraged to apply.

The Gem Foundation and Ashoka invite you to engage with a growing community of entrepreneurs, both business and social, from all sectors and fields of work, to share your experience in creating a better world – one in which everyone can be a changemaker.

The San Diego Social Entrepreneurship Forum will convene for a half day in San Diego in early October 2010. It will bring together a diverse group of social entrepreneurs, including founders of local nonprofits (see 2010 Founders Honor Roll Nominees inset) honored by Project Concern International for their work around the world, business entrepreneurs committed to social and environmental benefit, and students who have demonstrated their desire to lead positive social change.

Conference purposes include:

  • Convene and connect a community of entrepreneurs interested in social change to share their energy, experience and expertise;
  • Catalyze bold individual and collective action toward a better future; and create infrastructure to support continued social innovation.
